Union State Bank Contributes $50,000 to SCKMC

February 23, 2012 - South Central Kansas Medical Center has announced a substantial donation to their "Building a Future of Excellence" campaign. Union State Bank will contribute $10,000 per year to the hospital for the next five years.

SCKMC CEO Steve Perkins said, "We deeply appreciate Union State Bank's generous support of our institution in this way. With the move to our new facility we committed to build a future of excellence in all that we do. USB is providing substantial support for us to better serve our community."

The initial donation was used to upgrade the hospital's two conference rooms with audio and visual equipment. In recognition of this commitment, SCKMC has named the space the USB Conference Center. Since the new hospital opened last March, many area organizations have used the conference rooms to host meetings and events.

"We are delighted to partner with SCKMC in the development of the Union State Bank Conference Center," stated Bill Docking, Union State Bank CEO and Chairman of the Board. "The enhancements made to the facility will benefit both the hospital and our community."

The medical center, along with USB, will be hosting a come-and-go reception to showcase the recent improvements. The event will take place from 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 1st.
