South Central Kansas Medical Center in Arkansas City, has added a new physician to its specialty clinic roster. Jeremy Tamir, M.D., plastic surgeon and wound care specialist, began seeing patients at SCKMC on December 21st.
Dr. Tamir, of Plastic Surgery and Advanced Wound Care, LLC is now accepting new patients to be seen locally through the hospital's clinic. He will also be performing wound care and reconstructive surgeries at SCKMC.
Steve Perkins, SCKMC's CEO, believes that Dr. Tamir fills a gap that was previously missing for local healthcare.
"We are pleased to expand the services available to our community. Speaking to our medical staff, we know this is a need that can be provided here," Perkins said.
Dr. Tamir completed his residency in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer, Israel, and stayed there as a senior plastic surgeon training residents. He received is M.D. at Hebrew University of Jerusalem Medical School. He has active privileges at Newton Medical Center and Susan B. Allen Hospital in El Dorado. Dr. Tamir's primary office is at 902 Hillside in Wichita.
Among the services Dr. Tamir provides are surgical wound care procedures, vein procedures, skin surgery, and medically advised reconstructive procedures. Appointments may be made for his clinics in Arkansas City by calling his office at 316-425-5016 and noting for an SCKMC appointment.
