June 29, 2012

South Central Kansas Medical Center in Arkansas City, has added a new physician to its specialty clinic roster. Dr. Perry Lin, OB-GYN, will begin seeing patients on July 3rd.

Dr. Lin is the city's first full-time obstetrics and gynecological care specialist. In addition to OB-GYN care, Dr. Lin also has a subspecialty in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. He is now accepting new patients to be seen through the medical center's specialty clinic, and will also be delivering newborns and performing women's health related surgeries through the hospital.

Steve Perkins, SCKMC's CEO, believes that Dr. Lin's specialty fits nicely with the hospital's current healthcare providers.

"We are excited about the addition of Dr. Lin to our staff. He brings outstanding skills and experience to our community. His warm and engaging manner will provide for a smooth transition into his practice here," Perkins said.

Dr. Lin received his formal education from the prestigious McGill School of Medicine located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and began practice in 1993. He is a fellow of the American college of Surgeons and of the American College of OB/GYN.

Dr. Lin and his family recently moved to Ark City from Guymon Oklahoma. He and his wife, Louise, have two daughters. Dr. Lin will be working in collaboration with the seven other local physicians currently providing OB services, including taking part in the medical staff call rotation.

"I am excited to contribute to the excellent tradition set here at SCKMC," Lin said.

Dr. Lin will provide a full range of obstetrical and gynecological services, including consultations to assist with issues related to infertility. Appointments may be made for his clinic by calling the SCKMC specialty referral clinic at 620-441- 5711. Dr. Lin will also work with area physicians to accept referrals of patients needing specialized care.
